I was privileged to recently attend the first Christmas Party at the new ‘Woodchurch Pop in Centre’ a community project for the over 60s. The brainchild of benefactor Richard Carley is finally coming to fruition after seven years of committed hard graft.

Local contractors have provided all the materials and their time, free of charge.

The charismatic and inspiring Shirley and Clive Looker have organised weekly fundraising events for years. They support and run the centre with Richard.

I was deeply moved by the warm welcome, the kindness and generosity of this community and look forward to the official opening event in 2019.
