Only Doing What Works.
Part 1
‘Sometimes we just need to Let Go of the Old Ways …to discover the New’
Following my time as a Guest on the ‘It’s All about the Questions Show’ with the inspiring Laura Steward…

It feels like the right time to share how I support and manage my life each day.
I do not do ‘perfect’. I have ‘blips’ but essentially I live my life, balanced, calm, and peaceful. A life I have come to enjoy love and cherish.
I spent many years hitting the brick wall, with a payoff of struggles frustration and health challenges. Life as I knew it was not supporting me. Once I took responsibility and made the decision to let go of the old ways and embrace a new way of daily living everything changed
Don’t be afraid to ask the question/s ‘If I do this what is the fallout, the payoff and, how will I feel later?’
By building a programme and schedule that sustains energy and well-being…. everything will begin to flow just like a stream or a river.
It gently meanders with focus to its final destination.
Work Hours –
My energy hours of inspiration to write:
- Early morning.
- I take breaks to stretch outside and take deep breaths
- I walk in nature or by what I call the healing sea.
- Sipping a mug of green tea, mid-morning always works for me.
- I finish my working day by early afternoon.
Exercise:-
A great way to start and end my day:-
Yoga and gentle walks in nature or along the coast in Rye and East Sussex.
During the summer season, my therapy is lying on a stony beach listening to the lapping waves or swimming….‘Being’ time and an opportunity to reflect and mindfully swim in tranquil seawater.
My Rest Hours:- 2/3 hours each afternoon spent resting, sleeping, practising reiki, and meditation. Reading to inspire and uplift me or listening to gentle healing music, these exercises all work.
Hours away from the page, assist in keeping the pressure and anxiety to a minimum.
In my experience, the more relaxed I feel guarantees a deeper night’s sleep.
The Food I Eat:-
Regular meal times to sustain blood sugar and energy.
I eat clean, lean food for energy and take organic supplements (fine-tuned) to support my immune system and general health. Organic rainbow-coloured fresh fruit and vegetables in season with good quality protein, including organic Tofu. I avoid cow, dairy, wheat, white carbs and white sugar and eat organic brown rice or locally grown sweet potato when available. I sprinkle nuts and seeds as toppings on my salads.
I drink two cups of organic/fairtrade, coffee each morning, two litres of pure water, and in between natural green and white tea. Fruit or vegetable juices freshly made by ‘yours truly’ play a small part in how I eat.
I enjoy the odd glass of wine, or champagne, eating an occasional piece of organic dark chocolate. I finish eating before 8 pm. If required, an oatcake before bed.
The next blog to follow …..where l reveal more about what works for me.
I have come to know that it is never too late, each of us can change ‘how we do’ if we want to. Follow and plan a regime that works for you and only do what you love and feel passionate about …. ‘Change comes with a single step followed by another followed by….’
