Taking the Time out to recharge and re balance-
_
Regular treatments of Aromatherapy and Reflexology when in the UK with Ursula O’Regan (@Ursaroma) and she makes up aromatherapy oils that work. I use them on my skin and in a burner to help my various needs, relaxation, sleep, uplift or helping with the pains and discomfort of fibromyalgia.
Many years ago I made a point of learning Reiki 1. I practice it on myself every other day.
I visit a truly caring and supportive Osteo, who keeps my body in balance and mobile:- City Way of Rochester, Kent UK – I can highly recommend the team even the acupuncture for pain!
Bedtime Rituals and Sleep hours:- I have learned that in order to have quality deep sleep – You Need ENERGY -Hence kick back hours of relaxation are paramount to ensure uninterrupted slumber.

A ritual for many years to have the best sleep:-
Once 7 pm rings in – It is time to wind down. That means all electronics and techie stuff is on the OFF button.
I am discerning re what I watch on TV with max viewing of just over an hour. I enjoy gentle, nature, comedy, easy drama programmes where I can glean/learn something new, nothing too stimulating or adrenalin fuelled. I keep away from dramas with any kind of violence.
- I physically get into bed at 9.30pm once I have applied aromatherapy oils that encourage calm, and have sedative ingredients i.e. Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Frankincense thanks to Ursula O’Regan (@UrsAroma)
- I end my day on a positive note by writing in my gratitude journal 3-5 things I am grateful for, that particular day. It can be as simple as Chris buying me a new decorative notepad ( a writer, always needs a stock pile!)
I read for half an hour, books that take me away from my daily life and work.
Then its lights out, plugs pulled from their sockets with no other electrical devices in my bedroom.
Where once I was the ‘Diva of Multi Tasking’, now I do one thing at a time, in the moment and mindful. (most of the time- I am not Little Miss Perfect!)
There are occasions when we need professional support but ultimately we get to choose how and what we do in any given 24 hours.
When I have stepped out of the box and done what others wished or I allowed myself to be pressurised to do, I have paid a hefty price.
By taking responsibility for how I need to ‘live the life I was meant to’ I am fulfilling the dreams that first started over thirty years ago-
With mPowr publishers on board since October 2014 this is just the beginning of many new and diverse projects. With sustainable, managed energy I am excited about a brighter future working with a core group of supportive, professional people.
It is never too late, each of us can change ‘how we do’ if we really want to. Follow and plan a regime that works for you and only do what you love and feel passionate about ….. ‘Change comes with a single step followed by another followed by….’ Step right into your life and go walk it with pride, renewed energy and confidence.
