They Shall Eat Cake ….. with a Turkish Twist

Over Easter some of you may have seen the fruits of my Easter Chocolate Bake….
In homage to May 1st also celebrated in Turkey ( without a Bank Holiday) – I decided to adapt the recipe with turkish ingredients that include almonds, walnuts and decoratively placed fresh strawberries from a local grower. All was going well until it came to greasing the baking tray… Gone…disappeared without a trace. Quick as a flash I put my large resourceful cap on. I found half a sponge tin and the Chocolate and Almond cake was baked… And so they ate Cake .. with a thumbs up from my neighbours and super hero. Hurrah for the month of May… !
