I am surrounded by almond trees and once the Hull starts to split whilst on the tree – my neighbours know it is almost time to harvest these new seasons babies!

Below fresh organic nuts lie in the sun.

This drying process is important to the taste of the almond. Soon I will hear the tap tapping as the shells are broken to reveal a tan fresh skin. Bite on it and hear the crunch of the creamy white nut… packed with nutrients and proteins.

The sad news is that Almonds are costing the earth (even here) due to global demand and would you believe water crisis! So enjoy these priceless delicious almonds one bite at a time….
