All Kaled Out!
New season kale, new super food….packed with……
Whilst in NYC, we visited SaraBeth’s the go to restaurant for breakfast near Central Park South. There is always a waiting list to get in.
Business men and women who have been working out, then working in their offices finally meet with their clients over breakfast around 9am.
On this particular morning, I heard a women’s voice in rapturous praise, “Honey, I am so thrilled, my white egg, kale filled omelette has zero calories. Did you hear what I said Chuck, zero calories?”
Chuck looked up and smiled at Mary Louise as he tucked into his all-American breakfast, of eggs sunny side up, crispy bacon and grits with butter-laden blueberry muffins on the side.
Whatever restaurant you visit the menu will probably feature ‘Kale’ as it nestles amongst your smoothies, salads, soup, pasta sauces, kale baked chips, stir-frys or is hidden under your main course of seared or baked fish.
I am known to be a clean, lean and green eater but my plates of salad did not contain this healthy, nutritious, dense, super food.
With each dish, Super Hero ordered, he was guaranteed to find himself eating the multivitamin packed, fibre filled Kale.
Suffice to say by day four he was all kaled out!
