“A Story within a Poem”

Is feeling loved when he telephones
to say how he cannot wait to get home,
kissing you deeply,
by the front door

Is feeling loved when he takes your hand in his,

As you walk along the sea shore.

Is feeling loved when you share food you both like,
with candles shimmering, soft music playing,
A few glasses of wine,
and chat of how you first met?

Is feeling loved when he does those extra special
things like making breakfast and sharing it in bed-

Is feeling loved those secret thoughts
Is it eyes for you and you alone, across a crowded
Room,
Is it when he looks at other women but you know
That it is you, that is in his heart
And you he’s taking home?

Or is it simply a feeling you get when he or she is near
Maybe it’s the words he says or the things he does,
Or routine that you share…… quietly?

Could it be, when he tells all his friends how beautiful
You are and …….
How he puts you first no matter what
He sends you love texts ten times a day,
When he is away
And tells you
he is missing you… a lot

Is feeling loved when he says you are his world,
His Heaven.
How it’s a better place with you in his space,
He wants you around no matter what.

I found that love in you
For all the things you do,
Thanks for giving, for sharing
and loving me

What we have is so special and so rare,
Let’s hold on to that feeling of
Two people who really care

For that is …..feeling Loved
