Our season of jewel coloured shiny like rubies fruit is here- The pomegranates that grows abundantly in both my garden and my neighbours with benefits that support many health issues-
I scatter the fruit on salads or use them to decorate my chocolate and almond
cakes or brownies.
The seeds are full of nutrition, even ground as a spice or used in making health bars and snacks.
They really are packed with fibre, Vitamin C, K and Potassium-
Their antioxidant value is three times more than red wine or green tea.
And they act as an anti inflammatory too.
I juice and make smoothies with help from my wise Selma,
Using hand picked local apples, pears or grapes with carrots, spinach and an optional squeeze of fresh lemon juice, even a spoonful of Spirulina or other green food powder makes it a most nutritious drink.
